Being a working mom of a 19-month old toddler, needless to say, I am quite busy all day and night.

You think that my son knows my busy schedule and empathize and let me focus on my work and rest at home?

Ppssstt. Not a chance.

As soon as I walk inside the door, he sees me, runs to me to greet me, but before he even hugs me or kisses me, he turns around and runs to his book box. He finds a book so that I can read it for him.

My little boy wants mami’s attention all the time.

As we co-sleep with our boy, he also expects some attention during the night.

But mami’s got work to do at night, so many times I find myself trying to outsmart him. Sometimes it works, especially when he was younger. But most of the times, I failed pathetically.

Here’s a few times when I thought I could outsmart my son, but then backfired on me.

I bought a small studying table, just enough for me to use my laptop. I thought I could work some, write some, research some while he play on the bed.

But no, he sits on the bed and pokes his fingers to the net, while crying and complaining, trying to make me play with him.

Now, even when I try to stand next to the bed and work with my phone, he frowns and groans and moans until I jump on the bed.

I don’t know why, but my son loves almost all types of remote controls, from air conditioner remote control to the TV controller.

He continuously presses on several buttons on the controllers, and laughs when hearing the beep sound, or when the TV changes.

So I hid the remote control under the cover when putting him to sleep at night. Knowing that he would not let me sleep before him, I still closed my eyes to rest.

A few moments went by, and I heard “beep beep beep…” non-stop.

Wow, ok. He found the remote control under the cover.

The nipples
